Our May General Meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 24 at noon. We have moved from the normal meeting date ( last Tuesday of the month) because of the Memorial Day holiday.
Interim City Councilman, Dr. Alan Jackson will speak on the concerns of the Southern Hills area. All meetings are free and open to the public.
We will have a catered lunch by our newest Southern Hills restaurant and newest SHBA member McCallister’s. There is no word yet as to what they will bring, but it’s sure to be good.
Please make your reservations asap. Feel free to bring business guests, if they wish to enjoy a meal let me know that, also.
Congratulations to the new Shreveport Fire Chief, Clarence Reese. He has been confirmed by the city council. Reese began his career as an EMT/firefighter for SFD and worked as the department’s public information officer for four years.
DOG PARK UPDATES:
The fencing is coming along slowly due to the shortage of metal posts. They have now come in and the concrete work, fencing and removal of dead trees is moving forward.
SHBA EXPO & TASTE
will now take place in September, on Tuesday September 27 from 5-7 pm at Summer Grove Baptist Church. We welcome sponsors, vendors, and food exhibitors to sign up as soon as possible. This summer will pass by very quickly. For more info, click here.
